Been doing some research, quite fancy a carbon end can but Scorpion (as on my 600) is too expensive at £349 (pretty sure my can was about £80 ok it was in 2002!)
What about Beowulf? They seem to do a carbon can for about £200 to £230 - any good reviews?
Looked at Fuel but they seem to be a bit old fashioned.
Akropovic are just well out of my price range, not sure what else is any good?
I'd choose MTC Exhausts over Beowulf but that's personal choice. Fuel exhausts are really well made but looks are subjective.
You could also keep an eye on ebay for a better-priced Akra or similar.
E bay is always worth a look, I have bought 3 or 4 over the last few years and although second hand thay have always served me well. With E bay buyer protection I think you can be pretty confident you will not get shafted, and you can save youself some serious money and get a good exhaust. Have a look

and good luck.

I had a Beowulf on my Fazer 600 when I had it. Good sound & performance + a removable baffle.
I now have a MTC (max torque can) on my gen1 Fazer 1000 and it's awsome.
Mine is the Tri Oval, Twin port carbon can with removable baffles.
It looks and sounds amazing and performs brilliantly. 8) Highly recommended...
AKA - Jase / Carbonkid...
Errrrrrr ......forget what I just wrote....tis a load of tosh. :o I've just looked at fleabay for the Fazer600 and there is virtually nothing there second hand, but I can see why it's a difficult choice cos there are a lot of new ones at around the price you are looking for.
Blimey, I wish they had that many when I had my fazer600...I got a scorpion from Birmingham MC show. It was ok but nothing special. Better and lighter than the standard, but now there seems loads of choices....again, good luck! :\

Beowulf are very well made cans, had one on my old CBR and it was well built and sounded good, if I was going to replace my current can, I would be going for a Beowulf
So are you suggesting he should make a decision based upon a 3yr old post?
Fgs man give the company a fair crack. I bet there are thousands of satisfied customers out there.
Fkin internet.
The father-in-law had a problem with his beowulf can but i fixed it for him. similar issue to that post. He kept moaning it would pop on down shift on his 1250 bandit, his previous can did not do this. I had a quick look and found one of the pop rivets was not seated correctly on the end strap and allowed it to come out a little. Drilled old one out and put a new one and was ok.
Cured the issue for him..
I would never buy a new can the prices are silly.. i got a brand new (ex display) blueflame can missing the hanging strap for £45 inc delivery from eBay.
Measured the can when i got it. back on eBay and a hanging strap for an extra £10..
basically a new perfect can for £55. less than a third of the retail price.
i searched for keywords like 56mm end can and not FZS1000 can etc.
Lord,
Grant me the WD-40 to move those things that are stuck, the Duck tape to fasten those things that are loose, And the wisdom to know the difference.
Amen
Is this for an FZ1 ?
It's going to pop on decel until you block the AIS tube from the airbox.
for what its worth i had a motad venom on my 600, was really nice i thought stainless with a carbon end cheap at the time 2 years ago and once baffle was removed :eek but was normal at slow speed just barked well screamed when above 8000 rpm i will try and post a picture

If it's broken, it's not fixed.
Decided on a Beowulf carbon oval, had a chat with them this morning and felt reassured enough to spend the money. Same cost as cheapest on e bay (that I could find) anyway
