a pointless topic created only to waste your time.

If the worlds brightest can't figure out why we exist then what chance do I have ?  Also.... how is me watching Monty Python and the holy grail going to help ?

how about that for a counterpoint of non-spiritual atheist perspective and random meaninglessness ?

Just remember that you're unique, just like everyone else... Hope that helps.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

The brightest are split between two camps on this one, we are either here because of God or Its because of the big bang.

I not very clever so it leaves me worried about who or what produced which ever one is the right answer.

I do not know, but what I do know is you will not hear him coming if he only has one half of a coconut shell. There will be no clippity clop, clippity clop.

Saw on telly that many scientists think that there was something before the big bang and are trying to work out what it was and why it created a big bang.

Then there are those that say that god created the big bang, which I guess means that everyone can agree Smile

My personal belief. I think the main problem with religion is people ramming it down your throat (and I include atheism there - I've had enough of them, thanks).

At the end of the day, I may be damn sure you're wrong, but it isn't my place to force you to think otherwise. Or try to, for that matter.

So the questions are then:

Who/what created god, and who created them ad infinitum.
What is the difference between god and an alien?
Which pill should Alice take (the red one or the blue one) ?

The petri dish theory is always good as was the ending of men in black :-P

we will never understand the emaning of life because we cannot think on a plane which could explain it.
Think so outside of the box and its slightly on the way there.

the big bang/ evolution are mere ways we try to explain something we cannot comprehend, using our thought processes....

there is no end or a beginning .

Last i heard we are not really here at all :eek . We and everything we see are a three dimensional representation of a two dimensional program running on some sort of computer in a lab somewhere :eek . Seems as good an explanation as any Big Grin

An African or European sparrow?

I always thought that 42 was the answer, but that the question was 'what is the airspeed of an unladen swallow', not a laden sparrow! Big Grin
