T Shirts
#1
Anyone up for a Fazer / Foc-U T-shirt? Might be fun to have tees done in respective bike colour.

I found a website, was playing around earlier with some designs. Anyone who's actually decent at this kind of thing want to give it a try? Preferably without enraging admins (the sticker thread comes to mind)...  :lol

As per the sticker thread, OMF already does t-shirts http://www.fatmaggot.com/shop/foc-ucouk/...ction.html

If you read her post in the sticker thread, you'd also know the magic word for a foccer discount  Wink

Jup, RichFZS sent me the link after I'd made the above.

Also bear in mind that Aegis is working on new designs of t-shirts, calling cards etc. But being the artistic type he doesn't work to a timetable  :book

Any idea when they'll hit the forum? If not, I might just go for the old design while I can still afford it!!  :lol

Maybe not for a while. I was going to sort them last winter but for personal reasons wasn't able to devote enough time.

'Tis a sair fecht.

My plan is to have a few designs sorted by the first week in April and run a wee vote on "These are my ideas, show us your good ones!" thread and see what you foccers can come up with.

Ideally have a new range of foccin' merchandise ready to go by the start of May.

I can remember 'designing' an anniversary fox-u T-shirt that some people liked, think it got lost somewhere !  :'(

I should also add that Laura has done 3 hoodies and T-shirts for me with looney tune logo on the back  :thumbup

Forgive me for being radical here, but what about a T shirt that's actually got a bike design on it, or is this no longer fashionable? I have some bike-related T shirts which tend to be TT ones 'cos of the brill designs.

I'm not terribly interested in text-only T shirts.

the problem with bike photo/tt type designs is they need to be DTG'd or screen printed, so you need big numbers to print to make it worthwhile

Here is one of the designs, i seem to remember it was calz ? but feel free to tell me it was someone else lol

There are other options for short run full colour prints, but as with most things, each has it's pros and cons

White/pastel t-shirt transfers - Cheap, very good image reproduction and offer a fairly nice finish, but any white areas left on the design do leave an off white appearance on the t-shirt due to the transfer adhesive. A4 & A3 available.

Dark clothing transfers - Offer the option to be cut with a vinyl plotter, but sit on the fabric rather than bonding to it. Finish can feel quite thick and plastic-like. A4 & A3 available (unless anyone has a large format printer  Smile )

High-end transfers - Suitable for dark and light colours and are 'self-weeding'. Gives a great finish and is described as having a finish very close to screen printed tops. Process is quite involved (unless you have one of the new white toner ink printers) and the cost per print is quite high (£3-5 more than a vinyl cut t-shirt). A4 available.

Yep agree with you Imax, i tend to steer away from the t shirt transfers that are paperbased for our business, and even the dark contour cut transfers offer their own problems, lets see what designs people are thinking of and then we will know where to start, i have access to large format printers and indeed one of the new white ink printers, but as you say costs can be an issue
