I got mine easily up to 900 mph by painting 0s on the end of all the numbers on the speedo. Really works.

Top speed's OK I suppose but if you want to go faster, buy another bike (and try it on the track of course!)

If you don't believe anyone here, check http://www.gearingcommander.com/ - The FZS600 has a limiter speed of 172mph, not that it's ever going to get there. At peak power it is geared for 143.1. As for speedo inaccuracy, well that is a different ballgame entirely. I'm running a 120/70 rather than the standard 110/70. Exactly 130 on the speedo worked out at 120.2 on GPS. ![]()

145 gps figure, 150 on speedo, non standard gearing. M27.
145 indicated but no where near revving out, A32. Same higher gearing. only one tooth up on front. Bird will hit indicated 190 on the A32 in 2 places on standard gearing ![]() 95 BHP is good for 145 and that's about it. Irrespective of speedo, bullshit etc. Need 165 BHP to see 185 with good aerodynamics

My 95 bhp XS1100 in the 70s did the sameish without the fairing but had to lay flat |
