Afternoon all
#21
Yeah, kinda  :lol

In between all that, I'm also into cycling (trek fuel ex7 and a specialised Allez comp road bike), as well as tinkering with house/dance music mixing, and spending time with my daughter on Saturdays!

My other car, the Pug 307 hdi passed its mot today, so that was good news, seeing as I'd committed money to the fazer by then!

Nice work on the cars, gave you an add. if you look at my pictures then there's a folder called cars and bikes, a few pictures in there of mybike and my Audi A4 I had to sell last year  :'(  and a couple of my girlfriends pickup I machined, thought it came up quite nicely.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Hi mate

In a nutshell, I machine polish out swirl marks, scuffs, scratches, brighten dull or oxidised paint, seal and/or wax to then keep that nicely corrected paintwork looking lovely.

In terms of cars specifically, I clean and condition leather interiors, or just clean fabric ones, carpets, all plastics - I can kind of go as crazy as someone wants to be honest.  The Lotus Carlton I literally cleaned everything from top to bottom, including dust of out switches, vents, etc.

Wheels, metals bits polished to remove tarnish marks, etc.

The whole lot to be honest! :lol

Most of the time, people just want the paintwork side of things done - and not even down to removing every swirl mark  (which to be honest I would always suggest is a bit of  waste of time anyway, seeing as swirls will be back in no time anyway) - so I tend to get out noticealbe marks and generally bring the car back to 'as new' looking, which is what people want the vast majority of the time anyway.

It's just a hobby/passtime for me anyway, I have a full time job which is far less interesting unfortunately. :z

I think "ugly" is bit fierce!  :b

Personally, I find looking at pictures of ugly bolts quite distressing :b Wink

Don't worry, I won't make a habit of it, just introducing myself and my interests Smile

Ha, ha, you polish cars/bikes, I just get the buggers mucky. It's only the vast quantities of crap on my machines that prevents it from getting any dirtyer!

After all, shiny ones don't go any quicker  :lol :lol
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Thanks Billy.

No,  that's not my thing at all!

Did however ditch the standard 17" wheels on the e93 this weekend,  in favour of some 19".8)

Picked up the new bike today.

Wow... I love it!  Such a different ride,  so responsive.

I found it kind of freaky that the clocks don't move with the handlebars,  as obviously they did on both previous bikes.

Think I'll get used to it quick enough though.

Oh,  and it sounds lovely!

I gave it a quick spruce up when I got it home.

Lovely bike mate! I like the bars, i've always thought crash bungs look terrible, bars are much cleaner and have lines which compliment the engine... anyway, get some clear indicator lenses, makes a huge difference, those orange blobs at the corners ruin the colour scheme =) was the first thing I did to my 600 and couldn't believe how fresh it looked.  8)

Yeah, I was going to replace the indicators,  but I didn't know you could change just the lenses?  Where do you get them?

I got a set for mine off ebay, think the set was about £20ish, came with clear lenses and orange bulbs. you can't see the orange of the bulbs through the lenses and they take seconds to change  8)

Just search for fzs1000 indicators clear and you should find them buddy  Big Grin
