Has anybody taken their bike to Morocco?
Going to do a tour of northern Italy then across Spain for a week in Morocco.
Any information advice welcome
Without the mileage to get there and back, it's over 1000 miles from Italy to Gibraltar so enjoy the ride and hope you have a soft seat.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again
yep i know but we are taking 5 weeks to do it in.
I've worked out a rough total of about 4500 miles which over that time is not that big a deal
Sounds like a good fun trip to do.

I think Fargo been there on his bike.
A mate of mine at work just did it last summer on a GSXR 1000, and he loved it! He has now sold the Gixxer, and bought a BMW GS1200 :groan so he can do it again next year.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

Red Heads - Slowly taking over the world!!!
Farjo, dan Lewis and i went about 7 years ago. I'm still finding sand in my bike now! Was an amazing experience. French is useful, also pack immodium......
My main worry is getting through customs I've heard it can take hours, I'm thinking of getting a early ferry don't really want to be stuck in Tangier overnight the ideal plan would be to get to Fez on the 1st day about 150 miles what thinks you ?
I remember how pissed off you were that I was taking a photo instead of helping you out! Do you have the one of that guide on the back of my bike? 100mph wearing a thin turban. I bet he still writes to Dan asking for money.
In terms of customs - we did Cueta which is part of Spain in Africa. Very good as we stayed in a nice hotel there so hit customs first thing (fresh and clean) the following day. It does take time, and it is chaotic, and we did end up paying someone.
