Bloody kids

My youngest boy is 17 and rides a Suzuki AY50. It was low on fuel so I said I'd fill it for him as I had no cash and a little blast would clear the cobwebs. On leaving the house I asked if it was ok for 2 stroke, yeah he tells me so off I go. After the 20 car que for petrol I fill with £6 worth of Shell's finest unleaded. 200 yards from home it stops, not the back wheel lock up I've had on my 250's thankfully, the only good thing about twist and go.
The thing that really peed me off was that I asked before going off if he needed 2stroke, no came the reply. After pushing it home and asking when he last topped up he replied "I can't remember"  After be shouted at he stropped off. The Mrs then had to take him to work and I've got to sort it out. Throughout all this his thumbs never stopped prodding his phone. And he wonders why im so short tempered. Or am I the bad dad he seems to think I am?

Its not untill they grow up arround (20ish) they realise what pillocks they were..

Sometimes, you just have to let them get on with it, then pick up the pieces. Thats the Dad part.
Mean while you will be the bad dad he seems to think you are!!!!
During this trying time (years) you have to show Who is the Adult.  :\

Mine are 14yrs boy 18yrs girl 21yrs boy and I know exactly how you feel. They all know far more about everything than I do.........and if I didn't have bankroll them I'm not sure they'd talk to me at all. At times they can be appear human but not for long.

life is all about having an experience.....and learning from it.
after experiencing teenage children, will you be having more.........didn't think so!
your son needs to take some responsibilities for his (in)action and get it repaired himself. tell the wife NOT to be his taxi, children are great at divide and conquer, perhaps a text with a bus timetable app might be appropriate.

We have good days and bad days, the hardest thing is getting him engaged in something.


He does like his XR 125 and is starting to get an interest in diving, I took him diving down to Lulworth this September and I think he liked being away with the "lads" (my mate and me, camping) He wants to go next year so I take that as a plus.


It's F-ing hard sometimes though but it will come out right in the end I hope.


Had to tell my Dad (he's 84) that he has to go into a home yesterday so I'm getting it all round at the mo...

I have two daughters,21 and 26 , had their strops along the way but thank god they are girls,,they don't hang around with me,lol

so I can get on with what I want.
The lad I employ tho, well theres one, 27 years old and was fucking useless,,,that is clearly down to MUMS, yes MUMS,

nowadays they don't take keep from the little twats, spoil them ;]taxi them,give them money,

I know as few dads who are so pissed of with mum ,,they cannot get involved tho,more than their life is worth.

Thankfully the seizure isn't too damaging, I squirted some 2 stroke through the spark plug hole and added a bit more to the oil so it smokes like a pig but runs.
My better half runs around them constantly, picking up dirty clothes and taking him to college or work. Problem is his college is 15 miles away and so's his job so me fixing his ped is cheaper than the petrol my old Beemer does to the gallon.
It's just his lack of enthusiasm to help fix it or do even the slightest maintenance to it.
My eldest is 19 and has a little Peugeot that has been so good. I had the cam belt changed and I've done the oil and filters afew times but he wouldn't think to check the tyres or oil if I didn't remind him, but the lovely little car still runs sweet as a nut after loads of abuse. He's done over 40,000 miles in 2 years and thinks all cars are like this, he's thinking of getting something newer. Newer isn't always better though as we all know?

My eldest along with his YZF750 has a Misubishi colt which recently failed it's MOT on a brake light bulb and excessive handbrake travel both of which he sorted himself   and that's it for another 12months, inspite of the abuse it gets it seems to soldier on which is quite a recommendation.

NO! getting himself a bus pass and letting him mix with the plebs is cheaper
