Saw a gold 2001 600 (custom paint job) in the background on The Motorbike Show on ITV4 last night - it was parked up with a load of other bikes as part of a piece about the 'sport' of Moto Gymkahna. Made me sad to think of that proud Fazer spending tis days going 12mph round and round some little cones.......
What do we think of the show? I quite enjoyed the first part (of two).... 'bout time they did a TV show about bikes. I've just about had enough of Clarkson slagging us off. Second part is on Saturday 8pm on ITV4 ... and they're repeating part one a lot:

Revilo18, as Grahamm has already said...if you think Motogymkhana is about riding ride in circles at 12mph then you've never tried it. Both my Fazer and the gold one in the show were bought primarily for Motogymkhana but get lots of other use too. Justins gold bike would have been seen doing a track day around the same time as that film. There were 4 Fazers there that day and they do make a good Motogymkhana bike although a lack ground clearance doesn't help at times.

With regards to the program, I can't say that I can be bothered with the presenter but it's good to see a program dedicated to motorcycling that isn't just racing.

A nice looking black FZS600 V reg. Heading towards Weston-Super-Mare from the Hutton area at about 1.30 pm.
Being riden very sensibly but still left me behind.
I was on my pedal bike at the time.

Trudd and Grahamm, I admit I've never tried Moto Gymkahna and following this will look for an opportunity to give it a try. Can u recommend a good meet in the South anytime soon?

Moto Gymkhana has now ended this year for the winter - although there will be a few people scattered around the country in car parks practising ready for next year  :thumbup

The next experience day in the South is 28th April but the location hasn't been finalised yet. It's probably best to keep an eye on the (soon to be updated) website www.motogymkhana.org

The one I went to was at Kempton Race Course. There may be one being organised in the Hampshire South area, but that's TBA and may be a "private" event.

For some reason I now imagine them using jousting poles in this 'private event'...

A dark blue foxeye shot past me the other day while I was waiting for the lights to change, seen it a few times along my route but have never gotten a good enough look to know more.

There was a discussion a while back regarding stickers:

Speak to deefer about the stickers, if fatmaggot.com cant print the stickers, Im sure he will know a person who can.
And a few years ago, somebody did do stickers on the old Yuki boards, just cant remember who!!
