Be careful of some of the kits on Evilbay as they are not always what they are claimed to be.  Stick with a seller you know - maybe one of the larger bike outlets that sells via ebay.  Or, better still, order straight from someone like M&P direct or Wemoto.  I stuck a HD DID kit on my VFR a while back and it's been really great.

Chains have rubber sealing rings, to keep crap out of the internals (and lube in. O rings are what we're used to seeing all over the place. X rings give 2 points of contact with the surfaces, so in theory a better deal. Z ring, I dunno if they sit upright (to give 1 long seal) or horizontal (to give 2 again) but idea will be a better seal again.

Hadn't heard of z ring, if I'm honest, but that'll be the general idea I think.

The price!

AIUI for most riders (ie those who don't use tracks!) there's no point in paying the extra.

I got a good price from;

Dennis Trollope Racing Spares
dennis@dennistrollope.wanadoo.co.uk
Phone 0117 957 0821    and    0117 967 5737

when I replaced mine.

He supplies DID, Talon and Renthal sprockets.  You'll be talking to somebody who knows about the stuff they sell.  The chain might be supplied in a generic length, but you get it cheaper that way.
DID ZVM was the OE fitment for my Gen1 Fazer thou, so that's what I fitted when it needed replaced.
