I have been robbed :(

Doing a brands hatch GP circuit track day with Rence on Wednsday and to pass the GP circuit noise regs i have to put on the OE pipe. (can pass the indy circuit with the blue flame and both baffels easy and on a good day 1 baffel for the indy)
now the bike has full monty ivans and ignition advancer fitted.

went for a spin and some asshole as stolen a huge amount of midrange and a big dollop of top end power Sad
it is SO noticable when comming out of bends and you crack it open as there is no midrange to pull you through.

mind you its also a long time since i have ridden the bike for much more than commuting and charity runs. just went out for an hour fun and no matter how hard i tried i couldnt get the pegs down and even have a SLIGHT chicken strip of about 2-4mill Sad unheard of

Is a CE marked aftermarket can not allowed?

Any can is allowed even race use only. But it has to pass a noise level check.
For example some bikes from New won't pass the noise levels.

So how do you know if it's too loud or not ? Have you got a decibel tester or do you just turn up and they test it at the track ?

most tracks ofer a testing service through the week.

I know from last year and the taster session i did at brands that my blue flame had both baffels fitted and passed at 103 ( needed to be 105 for indy circuit)

i then got it tested at castle combe when i was helping out with the charity The Bike Experiance with 1 baffel at 109 2 baffels at 106 (useing the 3/4 method) and with the std exhaust at 99.

the reason for the diff readings is brands test at 5k revs and castle test at 3/4 so about 8k revs.

all tracks test the bike before you are allowed out on the circuit and test during the day to make sure you dont alter it. (track side testing as you ride by)

brands hatch indy needs 105 tested at 5k revs
brands hatch gp needs 101 tested at 5k revs
castle combe needs 105 but is tested at 3/4 throtle so is a git to hit

at least thats how i remember it
