What bikes have you owned/own now?
#1
Ok, i'll start!....Back in 1974/1976 i had 2 Raleigh runnabout mopeds, a Raleigh Wisp, and following those was my first bigger bike, a 125 Stinger twin Suzuki. In 1977 sold the Stinger to a mate and bought a year old 250GT Suzuki with Ram Air (whatever the hell that was) but loved it. The reg number was OCG940P and she only had about 2000 on her when i had to sell her on. I kept her for just a year because the insurance had rocketed up in price to £100 for the year and i was devastated that i couldn't afford to insure her for the next year. It stopped me riding bikes for 25 years for some reason....I came back some 8 years ago with a little CB250RS Honda which kept breaking down so i bought another RS to repair the first one only to end up totally restoring her and selling it on. I then had to buy another RS to repair the first one. I still have both of those in bits ready for restoration.
A close neighbour saw me one day and asked if i fancied another bike? It was a red CD175 in basket case condition for bugger all, and of course i said Mmmm, yes please. Oh dear......still got that one too! I was looking on ebay one day and fell for this pile of crap CBX550 in a just running condition in Essex (concidering i live in Lymington Hants 100 miles away) so bought that for a song and almost completely restored that as well costing me around £600. I sold that to a guy in Ireland and as far as i am aware, he still has it! The next one was a Suzuki Bandit 600. Loved it loved it loved it!!!..Took it to France and Spain in 2008 and did a 1700 mile trip in 6 days. When i got back, i was longing for something with a bit more power and started looking for 1200 Bandit and instead ended up with another bit of a wreck....Like a magnet for wrecks!!..... I found a Triumph 955i Sprint ST which had been dropped on a guys front foot path smashing the side and nose fairing. I bought it for £1200, spent about £150 on it and about 90 hrs of labour...sold her for £1900 looking beautiful. That was another seriously fast machine. The next one was a 1200 Bandit which had been stored for at least 2 years going nowhere but with less than 7000 miles was a bargain at £1500. Held onto her for 2 years and sold her on with 14000 miles to buy another 1200 Bandit on a 03 plate with a genuine 5124 miles from new in imaculate condition. I managed to drop it twice! Both times at 0 mph and the second time it broke my leg so sold her on again.......only to buy....Ta Da..My first 600 Fazer! Present bike, and due my leg being bad still and it needing chain and sprockets that i cant get down to do, I still haven't ridden it more that 3/4 mile!! :'( :'( Longing to ride it. Sorry about all the dribble! :z :z :z

if we were doing bikes we have ridden these lists could take up pages ! but bikes I have owned !

seems like I havent had that many compared to some of you !

started at 15yrs old with

suzuki TS50 then this was followed by

dont laugh !
mobilety mobacane (spelling)
Honda MB5
HondaCB100n
Yamaha XS500 twin Very reare eight valve version ( or so I was told after I sold it)
Kawazaki Z550 ( nope Idea why but the preson I got this off had spent a fortune on the engine but it never ran properly till the airfilters fell off one day)handled like glue and was faster than a Gpz750)
GPz550 last of the twin shock versions it was a crashed rebuild and a pile of sheet)
then 2003 I got my Fazer thou and still have it !

but in 2005 My father passed away and I inherited his Panther M120 this is moving forward very slowly as it was a basket case , all the prep work is complete all the parts purchase just needs the assembliy now so I recon 2020 it should be on the road !

1979 FS1E with no lights and half a seat used for over the local track only
1980 Vespa Primavera (1975)
1981 Lambretta GP200 (might have been an indian one. can't remember)
1982 RD250 took my test on this then sold it to buy a clapped out car (why?!!!!)
Had a little break from serious bikes to take up drinking and girls, but had some odd bikes in this period such as a C90 step through, a couple of GP 100s, a trail bike thing I can't remember what it was, all with top boxes and used for commuting only until they broke, nothing worth more than £50 at the time.
1987 Yamaha RTX100 (I think that's what it was, might have been RTS, it had 'energy induction' written on it, but I don't think it was a turbo!)
1988 Honda VT250 then a VT500E (test rode a Katana and ended up with the 500E - again why?!!!)
1989 Kawasaki GPX750R kept this a while as it was very smooth
Not sure of the next years but there was a CB750 and a couple of others that I can't remember, mostly poopers but I kept the GPX for most riding and commuting.
2001 Lambretta TV175 series III (1964) proper Italian model, special edition in original paint (wish I'd never sold this).
2001 Fazer 600 registered February 2001 the first foxeye on the roads round here, got a lot of attention in the first few months, I sill own my Fazer and use it every day, now has a gazillion miles on (I don't actually know as the speedo stopped working for about 18 months after a tyre change and didn't work until the next tyre change when the plastic sender was changed)
2002 Suzuki GSXR750 had this for 2 years, good fun
2012 Lambretta TV175 series III (1965) proper Italian Innocenti machine, sadly this one has been restored in white and silver paint but it is all original parts and goes quire well as it has a Mugello kit and 12 volt conversion, standard brakes though so stopping is a bit scary.

I suppose I'm going to have to change the Fazer soon but been justifying keeping it as I haven't had a garage to keep a new bike in (scooter is in lock up about 5 miles from where I now live), so once the garage is built I no longer have an excuse to keep it.
I just can't imagine not having it really, I've never had a bike this long, I will definitely shed a  :'(  if she goes.

My first ''bike'', was a moped a 2004 YN50 Yamaha Neo's in the Rossi Gauloisies coours, it was the only one ever made from the factory...
After that came my Honda CBR125R in Rossi Repsol Colours, I loved that thing, until it threw half the crank out of the side casings, then I replaced the engine and traded it in against my Beautiful Yellow Ducati 600 SS (1998 model), That thing was lovely, I rode it every day for two years until it finally went boom in traditional Ducati Fashion (i'd like to add it was properly maintained by Ducati dealers)
I also had my 1993 Ducati 750SS in red , mmm tasty with all the superlight exhausts and seat unit goes like Sh1t off a shiney hovel and sounds amazing!

I still own both Ducati's Smile

And obviously, My good old FZS600 Fazer Y reg. the mule. amazing bike, great tourer, knee down weapon , and fantastic at embarrasing the gixxer brigade Smile

You guys seem to change bikes more often than you do underwear  :look

I've had a long and illustrious bike history, consisting of a Chinese Ebay-special Huoniao (I liked to call it a WhoKnows) which I blew up after 10 days of ownership and my FZS600.

I have a good understanding wife who also likes bikes, whenever I mention I want to change she shrugs her shoulders and says "Well you don't drink or smoke and you work hard enough" as long as she is comfy on the back she doesn't mind  Smile
