Drift action camera cheap copy. anyone got one?
#1
Hi all, i have been looking into buying an action camera for the bike and other activities. I would like a Drift but they are lots of money. i then spotted this blatant copy http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120-HD-Mini-He...3f1a5eb46a

Has anyone got one? because for that money it really does look too good to e true.
Or if there are any suggestions as what camera to go for? i would like 1080p but given the cost it is looking more like a 720p cam.

cheers

That eBay job sounds like a bargain, but I wouldn't buy one without seeing what the footage looked like.
If the seller is not confident enough in it to put a sample up I'll assume it's rubbish.

I bought one of these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Poseidon-HT10-...19c53309d8 for the bike.. you can mount it to a helmet but i ended up tank mounting it.. the kit had loads of different mounts for helmets, dash etc
you can see a short test shot here -camera test.wmv
I did contenplate selling mines as Ive only used it twice and I dont have the vfr anymore..got a few extras - spare batterys and a bigger memory card too (11 hours video recording (32gb)..

Quick update, i decided to get a real cheapy.. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280964351157?s...1497.l2649

I was unsure how much i would really use it so didn't want to spend £100+. and being waterproof i may attach that to one of my dogs so i can have dog-cam when they play  :lol

Hey maybe a reviews section could be worth adding to the site? could be good to see peoples real world thoughts on riding kit or lids etc.

The company selling the camera that started my thread have sent me an example video. its in 1280x720 at 30fps.
Quality looks OK but they recorded a vid of wobbling it around in an office. If anyone would like to see the vid PM me your email address and i will gladly forward it to you.
