Givi V35 Panniers fitting
#1
I was looking at panniers for my 2004 FZS1000 V35. I know I can get the tubular frame and fit the E21 but what about the V35 by Givi...
As far as I can see, there is not a fitting for them, has anyone managed to fit a set??
Any other suggestion for what works best and looks the biz!
Thanks.

I looked into this too but drew a blank. Short of getting the v35 pannier rack and making it fit somehow I dont  know. It's a shame as imo the v35 panniers look much  sleeker and more modern. I have seen them on a gen 2 but not a gen 1.

Thanks, but unfortunately they do not fit the V35's which would need a PLX type carrier that is currenty not made for the FZS1000.

Actually considering whether I should just opt for a set of Oxford soft panniers and save myself a lot of grief...

8)    Check out the Cargo Endurance range ..

Soft (load them up and then 'compress' them with zips if required  Smile  ) strong, well made, expanding throw over bags.  A better, more practical shape and design than the Oxford fancy bags, Lifetime Guarantee, etc etc

If you can't get everything you need for a two up x two weeks trip into these and maybe a small tank bag for the bits and bobs .. you are lugging way too much junk!  :\

All just in my opinion of course.

looking at the plx351  frame its the same shape, style of fitting and bolts to the same places as the pl349 which fits your bike could be worth measuring one up if you want the givi v35 luggage, however if not  set in stone then you dont have to have the E21 you can get diff monokey panniers to fit and also kappa ones to the tubular frame  (ignore the weight warning you can use larger than 21l i have on many occasion)  :evil :evil :evil

Polar Bear,
Do you still need the PL349 side racks if using soft panniers?

Why not contact Givi and ask them?  You never know they might come up with a solution.
