Does this thread help? http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,3066....l#msg24403
The fact that you can, doesn't always mean you should.

I NEVER watch Emergency Bikers for the emergencies...

The correct battery is the MBT14B4.  I replace mine this year and it is certainly much better than a standard battery.  FYI mine came from ebay at a cost of £42.00 - I think they are now £46.95.

I put a MBT14B4 on mine early this year as well. i cant say how well it will last a winters use but it kicks out a lot more starting punch than anything i have used before.
i tend to get through a new battery each year or just over, due to the way my bike is used (used a lot but then could be parked up for a week or 2)
this one fits fine (not to sure i like the conections but they have worked perfectly so far)
gives a lot more punch on starter, the motor turns over faster and starts instantly.
we shall see how it is over the winter

Just replaced mine with a motobatt , £55 from dealer.
Just checked it and mine is a MBT12B4!
it fits the space properly as standard did. The only thing I will say is the terminals are awkward to locate in position especially when fitting optimate lead as well.
Hope this helps Smile
