Is it steel (or alloy etc), or is it as it looks, something getting squished by the wee clamp?

It looks like the closing part of one of the many pipes that stick out of the bottom middle of the bike, like an oil breather type thing, though obviously not a breather as it is supposed to be closed! I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you exactly where it fits. Am I right in saying that it is a clear plastic teat thingy??

It's not off a Fazer, certainly not an original part.

If you're not losing any coolant and the motor's running fine, don't sweat it. Smile

Wish I could be so sure about the 2 scooters ... Wink

Got you took the bike out of the bay on return an left it running for fifteen  while i give it the once over , looked over the scooter aswell pretty much covered in plastic from top to bottom so doubt it is off one of them oh well would hate to think i damaged someones wheels although parking in the bays up west is a nightmare i have had to replace mirrors an suffered cosmetic damage to my own bike parking in them .

has the bike had the AIS pipe work removed ...if so it might be a cap which fits over the air box flange that is required to be blocked off when you remove the AIS  pipe work

of course its shown as a blue cap but any cap could be used

Carb breather covers? But you wouldn't catch them with your boot unless you were really pissed of...

I would have to guess it is a cap from a breather on one of the scooters.

It looks like one of those ball joints used to attach a damper rod off a car tailgate?
Maybe someone has a sore head now where tailgate crashed down :lol
