Lowering kit for FZ8 - help please anyone?
#1
I have an advanced riding trainee (female) who needs to lower her new FZ8. Has anyone gone this route or got any advice for her please? It's been suggested that I post in this forum as the linkage may well be the same. All help will be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
John

I am sure you can find cheaper if you search around a bit.

Just to point out that I lowered my FJR1300 by 25mm and it completely threw out the handling, so I put it back to standard and bought some shoes off Elton John.

If she absolutely needs to lower the rear, it might be worth while trying to raise the forks through the yokes by 5mm too.

Ive got a post on fzs600 forum here as my bike was lowered quite allot when i got it,

just had it jacked up and its a different bike now however i still think the bike was good even with the lowering kit on,

it seemed a bit harder to get the bike leaning over and i had trouble changing gear but thats coz im tall,i was doing some respectable speeds on a longish 200 mile run and was none the wizer at the time about it being lowered, kinda like cutting yourself and not feeling the pain til you notice it type scenario i reckon,

not sure bout the fz8 but the old fazer 6 was simple as replacing wishbones,2 bolts per side, the front forks hadnt been touched.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
