I haven't entered this competition for a very long while (probably because I don't have a hope in hell of winning due to the quality of the opposition :'( ) but I took my Nikon D70s on holiday hoping to take a few pics of surfers which didn't happen due to either a) crap weather or b) because I was surfing myself, however there were some rabbits hopping around the campsite and I got this pic of one of them which I rather like...
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad
Well the North of Scotland has had a fantastic summer. Though not if you ask the crofters and farmers.
This was apparently fairly typical this summer. A hot hazy summers day. I'm standing on the summit of Spidean a' Choire Leith having crossed over from and looking back at Mullach an Rathain, collectively known as Liathach. I was glad it was fairly cool in the morning as I'm standing at well over 3000 feet down to my T-Shirt.
Though there was some nasty weather. I took an over optimistic view of the weather forecast (doh!) the day I decided to head up Conival and Ben Moore Assynt. Getting up Conival was madness, I probably should have turned back, I was blown about like a rag doll at time. I crawled at times where I should have been walking. Was coming back when I took this. I persuaded this fella to press on, he too was questioning his sanity, he's heading NE ish towards Ben Moore, and the wind is coming from the NE, you get down into the ridge and it's as if somebody switched off the wind machine. So he headed off happily on his way. The photo really doesn't show the weather, but hey it's another summer snap.
