iPad question

Anyone know if the I pad supports excel and is the software installed. ?

No, Excel is Microsoft.

There are other spreadsheet apps that run on the ipad though iwork & numbers are the Apple ones.

You can get Excel notepad from the iTunes store for free (for iPad or iPhone), not sure if it is good enough for your needs? Plus there are some viewers and convertors, just do a search.

I use quick office on mine but you can get Excel too.

Nearly got one until I discovered it has no USB port- obvious when you think about it but after linking my MYPOD to my PC I assumed that the Ipad would do all the same things .... but no!

Uses the same cable to connect to a pc as an iPod.

You can get something that uses the name Excel in it's name - Excel Notepad, but it's just a very basic listing tool nothing like  the real Microsoft product!

I got an 10" Android tablet for £150 - latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 8Gb internal memory, case with keyboard. Bloody good it is!
