How rude. Why is it that we knock out sports people when they lose? He's a damn good player and even if you don't like him, your comments are unfair. He lost to a very worthy winner and he played a very good game!!

:agree Tori

Sure I heard Djokovic sayings its one of the best games he's played in - and thats more than he'll ever say about you, I-man.

WTF is it with this country, why can't we support people in a sport other than bloody football?

I didn't think we supported the Nation in football either?  The only reason people watch England play is so they can see just how wrong the hype about how good they are really is.

I seem to recall not so long ago that Mr Murray made a huge point of saying he would support any team that were playing against England, so I will support any player that is playing against him.

Richfzs, I don't play tennis so I would be extremely surprised if Djokovic did ever say that about me however I support many many more gracious sportsmen and women than that charmless burk Murray regardless of what sport they play.

Oh so we're going to bring that up are we? Well, given he said it in response (in the same conversation) to Henman taking the piss out Scotland not making it to another set of footy finals, I think it was a perfectly fair bit of banter. Frankly if anybody can't see that, I think its pretty sad.

If they can genuinely say they've never, not once, engaged in banter of a similar sort, then they may have some ground for calling him on it. It's still pretty sad though.

Since when has personality been a requisite for a sportsman? Sure some do, others don't (Rooney FFS?) , to wish him ill because he doesn't come across well is also desperately sad. It's what a sportsman does on the court/ptich/track that matters, and he's bloody good. What ever sport you play I-man, I very much doubt you're 4th in the world, or have ever been 4th in the world, so stop knocking those who are.

Did he win today? No! so therefore he is a loser.

Has he won a major? No! so therefore he is a loser.

Does it look like he will ever win a major? No! so he will continue to be a loser.

Thats my opinion and I am perfectly entitled to hold it, if you don't like it don't read the post and respond to it

What you saying here? Only people who share your opinion are allowed to read and respond to your threads? How sad, nay pathetic.

If you don't want other peoples opinions, don't share your own on a public forum.

Instructorman...watch the match did you? I would suggest that the standard of play would have demolished  the players of the McEnroe era (John is still no slouch even now) Federer or Ivanisevec couldn't have lived with the power these guys were displaying ....But tell me are you second best in the World at anything?

BM, he is a much better player than I will ever be but he has not made second place, third or fourth only.

"he would support any team that were playing against England" he couldn't help saying that, it's just his genetic predisposition, crabbit bastid though he may be.

My first thought was that you were a passing troll, but then I noticed your post count.

By your logic, anyone who isn't the absolute best in the world is a loser. Welcome to the club chummy.

What are you suggesting the losers do? Oh yes, quite. So we would end up with one sportsperson/team per sport with no-one to play against. Very entertaining I'm sure - you must be a hoot at parties.

That would mean we'd all be world champion at something......

There's a thought, invent a new sport, declare yourself world champion and you'd never lose your title because nobody else would be allowed to play it!

Never mind Murray....
What about England Cricket, they only had to get 146 in there second innings and scored a magnificent 72ish therefore they lost....
Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Now they are crap and i support them!!!!

Retire at 24. No doubt he could.
Lendl didn't win a grand slam until he was 24. How many did he end up winning again?

Yer talking a fair wad of pish there fella. That's my opinion.

And we all know that opinions are like arseholes. Everybody else's stinks except mine
Smell ones mother. Yaas!
