Crash protection recomendation
#1

I currently have a pair of DHB (motrax?) crash bungs fitted. The bike has been knocked over a few times and they seem to have done quite well to prevent major damage.

However, I binned the bike in the summer at about 50mph and the bike suffered bent bars, broken fairing (most damage here), broken peg hanger and the engine casing was scratched  :o . The bung seemed to have minimised the damage to the engine but didn't do a great job of keeping the fairing & it's bracket from big damage. Considering the speed I think it could've been a lot worse though! Thank god I was wearing full leathers that day, just bruised!

Anyway, I now want to replace they bungs as it's looking pretty tatty on one side. Can't decide whether to go for crash bungs again or crash bars. What's your opinion? Do you recommend certain brands - R&G? Genuine Yamaha? Renntec?

Cheers,

Fuzzy

Those are Genuine Yamaha Bungs, I have these fitted to mine and at £49 that's a good price. Machined for perfect fit with replaceable ends. Well worth that money and the blue is a match for the Blue on the callipers too!

Those have been sitting in my ebay basket for about a week! Have been resisting temptation but I think you've pushed me over the edge. They do seem a fairly good deal though so I think I'll go for it. Thanks  Smile
