New Versys 1000
#1
Kawasaki have unveiled their Versys 1000 in Milan. I kinda liked the idea of the original Versys just thought it was a bit challenged in the looks dept and didnt like all the 'trellis' work around the rear.
The new bike I am not sure what to make of it...my mind says it looks like a 'Town and Country' sx1000...is that accurate or even fair..I don't know..But not sure that this type of bike needs or suits an inline 4...

Very nice indeed, bit heavy @ 239kg kerb weight....wonder if it'll be more like a 'TDM' than a Tuono?

I took a 650 Versys out for a test a few months ago with a view using one as my all round hack. Lasted 10 mins on it and thought it was a bag of sh*te. No power whatsoever and "interesting" handling. Could not see what all the reviewers raved about.
A 1000cc version may be a different proposition though......

maybe try the 1200 triumph explorer ??

in the blurb it claims to have  a low seat option for shortleggers like me...only 810mm...methinks thats  a good marketing strategy.( I suggested such to triumph 4 yrs ago, and they poo pooed me ! )
I do like the idea of a fazer / adventure type chassis, with gizmos , and of course that fantastic torquey characterful triple engine. Its got my vote at the moment.Where do I sign please ??
