Have just purchased a FAZER 1000... stripping it down now... might as well remove and fit this while i am there..

Dont want to tread on anyones toes if you have sold them already...

I've just bought the AIS removal kit from TPO parts.com https://www.tpoparts.com/cat093/index.ph...oduct_id=3 if you're interested have a look. Half way through fitting mine, I just need remove pipe fitting from exhaust port. Has anyone any tips on removing these? How are they held in?

Hi Colin,
The plugs have a ball bearing in which you hammer/tap in to expand the plugs in the exhaust port, I've removed the unit and the pipes and just need to remove the inlet pipes from the exhaust ports, mine seem really tight and I don't want break anything. The front end has been neglected a bit by the previous owner and all bolt heads etc. are a bit corroded.
There's a few caps included for blanking off the vacuum hoses.
HELP !! Has anyone got any tips on removing these or how they are fitted into the exhaust ports? before I go for it!

How your spigot problem coming along?? are they really a PITA to get out because my bike has done 50,000 hard miles and the front end is really mucky and corroded...

Have ordered some anyway... so will see when they arrive.. got my carbs out for refurb and hopefully jet kit and so may take all AIS pipes and stuff off following PAT's pages pictures in anticipation of arrival of kit... how long did your take to arrive..?

I didn't fancy butchering the spigots out of the exhaust ports so i've taped a M8 thread in the spigot and plugged with M8 S/Steel caphead. Thinking about it, if you do it that way you don't really need to buy a kit apart a couple of blanking plugs for the vacuum pipes. I'll post a picture if you want to see what it looks like.

I am going to look my spigots and see how easy or not they are to get out... if not will go your route and tap and plug them.. good idea..

I went with Justy1000's caps aqs i couldn't get spigots out and did not trust myself tapping them... so spoke to Justy (nice bloke) and he sorted me some caps out.. job done..
