Stupid little foccers
#1
Earlier this evening some scrotes got into the shed at the bottom of my garden via the unlocked (and unlockable) door that leads into the garden.

Fortunately they triggered the alarm on the motorbike making them run off. Unfortunately they panicked and kicked their way out of the back door into the alley way.

Stupid idiots could have just turned the latch on the yale lock!

Now I've got a busted door that I'm going to have to pay to get fixed  :2guns

Im currently working on an alarm system for my workshop using an old mobile phone. Im setting the speed-dial number 1 to call my mobile, removing the number 1 button from the phone and soldering 2 wires in its place. These 2 wires will go to a contact switch on my workshop door (with the phone hidden away somewhere). If it all works, the old phone should automatically call me when the door is opened and I will store the old phone's number in my phone as 'ALARM'. Hopefully this means that if anyone breaks into my workshop they will not know the alarm has been triggered and I can go and show them the error of their ways before they can run off (or, if Im not home I can just ring a neighbour to go and shoot them for me!). :evil

Jon, How about wiring up the phone to a big speaker so you can scare the foc out of the scrotes by shouting at them :eek  Or make it trigger a bag of flour and eggs to drop on them or...I'm on a roll now..  some indelible ink ......or.... no I'm getting into scooby  doo territory now... sorry :b

Or how about wiring another phone to a photo sensitive cell and another phone so that when the 'Catch-A-Scrote ™' battery goes flat you can see a visual representation in an MMS vid of the thing going off....You have a bloody great dog tell it it's sleeping in the shed :pokefun

Nice idea, but I rarely carry my mobile or even have it switched on...!

I don't think the locks and chains I deal in are quite appropriate...!
