Tried out my rentec rack and took the 88mile round trip Southampton Hampshire to Shaftesbury Dorset n back Collected some spares for work.    Ah lovely no rucksack lol. Safer too.  Shame is rained for a short while in Dorset.  Back home and quick sponge down and rinse as bike was caked lol.

Oh I also painted the front section of my garage this morn with some Ronseal slate grey floor paint.  looks great and by time I got home it was dry enough to walk on and park bike on it.  just the job.
This week I've been mostly tinkering in the garage

Plenty of people here will warn you of Renntecs and topboxes! One guy (name evades me) was riding along, and found to his dismay one day that his topbox overtook him!

I think it was darrsi who had that experience...

Meanwhile, I'm still on the hunt to pick up a cheap Givi top box. No rush, so I'm biding my time until something comes along Smile

Had to ride to work around the SouthCircular through sh*te, wet, salted roads.. Washed it when I got home.
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

Took the top fairing/headlight unit off the Gen 1 to give it a jolly good clean inside. Cleaned all the wiring and cleaned all contacts and reassembled. Stripped the front brake calipers, cleaned and reassembled with new bleed nipples  :rollin and mounting bolts. Fitted new 'Venhill' front brakeline kit that my better half bought me for Christmas. Just got to do my favourite bit now and bleed them up  :'(
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???

Have just stripped my wheels and sent them off to Triple S for powdercoating. Two rear disc bolts snapped, they were drilled out and helicoiled.

Braved the snow and headed up to CMC Chesterfield to get new chain and sprocket kit fitted.

Went for OEM as they were cheap enough on Ebay.

Feels lovely and smooth now. Got 30k out of originals so happy with that.
