Yep I've always wondered about that, they don't make any deductions for labour costs when they tally it up at the end do they?. Wonder what the 'profit' would be then... :eek
Yup no accounting for labour, workshop costs, consumables etc etc and they never make enough money to make it a viable option. I watched one where they had a corvette and a UK cost for the exhaust system was £500 so he got one shipped over from the states that cost £300 but when they did the tally up at the end shipping & taxes on the exhaust were £250 extra.
I don't watch it anymore because it just doesn't make sense.

I was quite indifferent over this, thinking it was all blown out of proportion but after watching this leaked video footage of the attack I was quite shocked at the way Clarkson savagely attacked that producer. Totally unprovoked and yes, thoroughly deserved to be sacked.

Last episode with the Clarkson/Hammond/May presenting trio tonight 8pm BBC2.

Seems like it's a compilation of previously seen stuff.

I thought tonight's episode was the amalgamation of the three previously unseen episodes of the last season which got postponed mid way through?
Maybe i'm reading it wrong.
Radio Times says it's "a compilation of two features from the recent series".

My understanding is that it's an amalgamation of unseen location footage, originally intended for more than one episode in the last prematurely curtailed series, with studio presentation/linkage by Hammond & May, but without the usual studio audience.

Yes it is, with Clarkson only appearing on location and not in the studio apparently. Guess we'll find out more later.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.
Thought it was on at 9pm........DOH!!! :'(

I dunno, I didn't think it was that bad and to clear up - it is unreleased footage from this season that has ended. They basically took two films that would have been in the final episodes and stuffed them in to one as they removed what would have been the likes of doing the news or a star in a reasonably priced car etc
Repeated on Saturday, i'll record it this time.

The Daily Mail didn't like something the BBC did? There's a shocker. :lol
Well thank feck that is over and done with a complete waste of air time. Roll on Chris Evans love him or hate him must be an improvement over that obnoxious twat.
Will say this though the wee Hammond has some bottle doing the wing thing. I like white knuckle rides but no fecking way could I have done that.

Daily Mail are, as per usual, way off on their facts... as the Classic Car scenes were filmed in 2014 not 2015 as the film suggested. How do I know? Because Top Gear weren't at Japfest this year and they were last year ![Wink Wink](https://foc-u.co.uk/mybb/images/smilies/wink.png) (I was at Japfest as well...)
Plus as far as I am aware the SUV stuff was filmed beforehand as well, but edited after. So Clarksons appearance throughout the films was all before the BBC fracas. It's just Clarkson being Clarkson and I'll continue to watch whatever he brings out next as I do enjoy his stuff as well as with Hammond and May. He may get on a lot of peoples nerves and offend them as well, but I guess I just don't take offence as easily and can see most of the underlying humour
I did wonder if the films shown were recent or if they would show the film made when the fracas occurred. The fracas was in Yorkshire and I don't think the 4x4 thing was filmed in Yorkshire (or anywhere close)
