Thanks. Donington Park on a week tomoroow, be interesting to see if theres any performance gain

Hi Agricola,
What tyres do you have on the bike? The back one looks quite low profile or is it just the angle the photo was taken from.

Bridgestone BT-023 on both back and front. I have no complaints about them and this set has done three trackdays. One slight front end shimmy at the Melbourne loop but I put that down to opening up while too much lean

I have no desire to get into/start a tyre debate, Ive always had Brdigestones on my bikes and will continue to do so until I have reason to change. So There  :nana :nana

You will have to post a picture of it  :eek Big Grin

iam with you UNFAZED.......thinking of doing the same myself but using 12mm round bar.....sounds like yours has a steam punk theme to it  :thumbup .............

I was thinking along those line 15mm copper, plumbing fittings.
Why not go the whole hog and connect up  a radiator and incorporate it in the cooling system of the bike? Help cool the engine in the summer and keep you warm in the winter.
I think it would be a unique customisation
and you could spray it the same colour as the bike.
Very attractive.  :lol
Ohh! It would also give you a point to bleed any air locks out of the system, you could also put a tap inline to drain the system down, make sure it's a hot tap though, with the bit of red on the top.

Dont need to paint it Tommy, Ive the Tango colour scheme bike Smile
I was thinking of fitting a drain tap, then I can fill it with water when I go out in winter. The heat from the pipes will boil it up, open the tap into a mug with teabag in, hey presto, a mobile brew on the road Smile

nice tidy job AGRICOLA  :thumbup ........i can see that working on your fz6 with the high level exhaust , got any piccies with the bags fitted ?      Going to go the more traditional route with mine for the mighty thou , frames on the side to keep the soft panniers in shape and to stop them rubbing the rear bodywork , not sure how iam going to fix them to the bike yet but your piccies have given me a few idea's , thanks for sharing .......still too cold for me to tinker in the garage , roll on the spring  Smile
One, is never going to be enough.....

That's the very same as I have found with the BT021 on the front end, I have had just a few brown moments when powering hard out of bends, just enough to make me clamp up on the seat, it just gives you a little prod in the heart but not really cause a meltdown, having a Battlax T30 Evo put on the front on or before 25th of this month, MOT time, so though I would get it fitted then.
The BT021 on the back end is fine, and had never caused the slightest problem.
I'm have also to admit I'm a huge fan of Bridgstones as well.

MOT's this month (Heavy Month)

Honda C90.

Its not like road tax that you can split by doing 6 month tax on some and 12 on other to part them I F----g stuck without running one till the tax runs out and oputting SORN on it for 6 months I could do that with the FZS600 as I don't ride it through the winter.

You could do some before the date - say 2 months, yes you will loose out that year but the next year you will of efectivly moved the date by 3 months because you can have the mot done and pay for up to 28 days before the mot date
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

Cracking weather today spent the morning down at Emsworth working on the yacht, anti foul paint on the hull below water line, 2 coats of Danish oil on the timber work, silicon sealed where the VFH radio coax passes through the roof of the cabin.
Oh this is what did I do with my Fazer post.
Took my FZS 600 Fazer to A-Force Motorcycles of Aldershot and Alex MOT tested it for me  :thumbup   flying colours, also had a new Bridgestone Battlax T30 front tyre fitted, 100 miles recommended scrub in period, then I can change my pants :lol  Alex reiterated that it was 100 mile scrub in and not 100mph scrub in.

Hoping that the T30 will inspire a bit more confidence than the Battlax BT021 did, Love that tyre on the back but the front did nothing for my underware.
