There's a few classic go karts this year in the display area including one of Senna's old karts that I'm looking forward to seeing. He used to use the same engines as I ran, DAP T70 rotary valve with piston porting. My media passes turned up last week so now I'm counting the sleeps. As you say there are a quite few classic bikes being run in the display area as well. last year there were also a few GP bikes.

Apart from the Formula E race being staged in Battersea Park in June this year this is the only other competitive motorsport in London. If you've not been before see about going. Plenty for the kids to see and do as well.

Google tells me there's a Tesco Superstore and a Tesco Extra in SW. I'm presuming it's the big one :-)

Just walked through the door after a long night shift.
If I'm honest,  I think it would be foolish to put myself and others at risk through lack of sleep.
Have a good one Foccer's, don't forget the pics and ride safe.

Good day had by all. Only a few scary moments. One when I got distracted by route sign, ended up on a pile of gravel and had to bail out of the corner. I managed to get round it in the end but ended up on the wrong side of the road. Happens to the best of us.

Second. I had to bail out early from the ride as my key fob started playing up and wouldn't disarm the alarm. Ho hum.

Whoever wrote the route from MCN... Your fired! What a load of bollox. "Straight on at cross roads and follow lane" It's a fuckin T juction. What lane? That's not the only error in the right up.

Anyway some sics from today.

Back home, safe and sound.  260 miles today.

Thank you so much to Cosmic for leading today, I'll bin the Britain's best ride books, I don't think anyone has actually ridden or driven them, the directions were poor!

Only 4 of us made it in the end, but we had a great time and actually rode for longer than we ate!

Pics to follow.

I had a nice Fazer sandwich on the way home, McLaren F1, ME, Lambo, Ferrari, Ferrari.  We had a little play down the M2.  I say we... they had a play I tried to keep up and join in  Smile

Wasn't all bad, some good roads and good company, did around 200 miles in total and out for over 7 hours.

Looking forward to the next one

Forgot to thank HH for his persistence in getting the ride arranged, def deserved his cream tea at Finchingfield

Yep great day out, and good company, really enjoyed it. Two thous and two 600s, a good combination. Kosmic you missed some good cakes at Finchingfield. Had one scary moment myself when I overtook a car on a back road into Castle Hedingham and a lunatic on a KTM overtook me at the same time. Well it is summer .....

Shame about the cakes. I'd have loved to have stayed but didn't want to risk turning the bike off and not being able to turn it on again, as happened when I got home. Dohhh. The key fob seems fuct. Looks like the momentary micro switch is not returning to the out position. Had go and get the other key fob to disarm the alarm and start the bike. I nearly had to push the bike into the garage
:eek

I definitely made the right call to bail out. Still, I had a nice cold beer when I got in and thought about all the loose chippings in the road that nearly cost me two offs in one day.
