I'm a little sad that it's gone and hope that the new owner gets as much pleasure from it as I have. In the three years I owned it never once did it not fail to put a smile on my face. Hopefully I will feel the same about the gen2, the little changes I've made since buying it from noggy are starting to make it feel like my bike instead of one I've borrowed.

I just pissed about with it in an attempt to make it right for me but in the end it just wasnt.......hope it goes well for ya as it has obviously had a little bit of a troubled past.....the little things just annoyed me more than they should have....im the same with my new bike.....ill be the same with every bike that isnt new..........but im still glad i experienced that rush of pure power, woulda always wondered what it was like........to think there are bikes out there that are even quicker is quite mind boggling at times.

Had a tear in my eye as I handed over the keys to her new owner.

Considered washing it. Looks like it's just finished a wet le mans! Might do it tomorrow before it takes on a monochrome look

1, Covered the swing arm with carbon fiber. Took only a few minutes not counting the cleaning before Smile
2, Looking to close detected quite a few screws and washers which need to be replaced.
3, Realized that even though she’s getting maintained regularly, my mechanic doesn’t seem to care about the little things Smile
4, Noticed that the main stand needs to be painted asap!!!
5, Scheduled a proper shower for her tomorrow realising how dirty she’s got during our little trip through the hills yesterday

Nice job there Amy but as you say "mechanic" doesn't care, so it's all down to you to maintain it to your standards Smile

We've got the best roads here but unfortunately the worst weather at times Sad So you might have to do more maintenance than those soft southerners :rollin

Who cares what people see? It's what you want to do as it makes it right for you and you'll know it's done Smile
At least I can still ride at night if I want to unlike Paul down south http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,18446.0.html

Replaced the air filter today at ~16,000 miles. Was not as hard as anticipated but still harder than it should, which explains why it had not been done by the po... Also greased the chain (1,000 miles since last time) and gave her a general cleaning. There was a lot of crud under the tank and the side panels, so it looks better there now. Nobody but me will know but that's ok.

Dyno run at Ian Bell Motorcycles (see "happy with 141" post) and a wee blast whilst the sun was out .......... followed by cleaning the chain lube off the back wheel !!

Fitted the Scorpion can that arrived today. Started easily on the button with no choke, something that it hasn't really been good at with the Delkevic that was on there. Then it rained, so didn't get a chance to get out and see if this can works better with the Ivan's set-up, as I suspect it will, and indeed, did on the last one. Still suspicious that the Delkevic was a little too restrictive.

Took it into town; runs so much sweeter with the new can, well chuffed. Smoother in lower gears in traffic now. In fact, I found I could drop down to 1.5k rpm in second in traffic and no snatchiness, hesitancy or bogging. It really has confirmed what Mike said about the Full Monty needing a good, free flowing can to work at it's best.

Owned the bike nearly a month and put nearly 1000 miles on the clock. All the issues it had when i bought it have been fixed Big Grin
