Thanks Sinto but it's done now. Paid and license endorsed. Just need to try and not increase it to 6 points now!

having 3 points on your licence ,does the effect your insurance car/bike?
my son said it does now.
last time I had points on my licence was in 2001 ,had a clean licence ever since but I think I'm about to get a 3 pioints compliment from the cleveland police!
in my car I was just coming down the bridge when I notice a speed camera van(it wasn't there 20 minutes ago.
as soon I spotted it took my foot off and looked at the clock it read 35 so what I was doing before hand god knows.
I thought I was driving slow.....

:agree
Was going to ask the same thing clanadam, that's one of the reasons I'd of chased it but as they say, "what's done is done" but maybe something you should think about before accumulating any more as you hinted earlier :rolleyes

When I got done I was advised by a mate to inform my insurance company Carole Nash, I did so and they said thanks but did not alter my insurance for the duration of the policy. They did tell me my renewal would go up though next time, fair enough.
When my renewal quote came through 6 months later my policy went from £207.00 down to £184.00 which I accepted and paid up. When i got my policy documents through on reading the schedule I noticed (no endorsements)declared. I phoned them and pointed out that I had declared an SP30 +3 points. I was worried incase I had a bump and then they try and wriggle out by saying I had failed to declare the speeding fine & points. The agent went into my file, said yes I had indeed declared the SP30+3 points so my new quote was in error. They did the decent thing and said as it was their mistake and as a valued customer my new £184.00 quote/policy stood.

I had the car insured at the time with SAGA(ok I am an old fart) so on informing them they straight away increased my premium by £43.00 +£25.00 admin costs. I asked if that was what my policy was going up by when due for renewal the following month. Oh no!!!! was the reply that is effective straight away. How would you like to pay sir!!! As along standing SAGA customer I asked if I could phone them back as someone was at the door. Got online quote with Liverpool Victoria declaring the SP30+3 points for £74.00 less I was paying with SAGA. I did phone SAGA back asked them to forward proof of my NCB and cancelled the policy there and then, robbing bastards.
