One of the daftest things we did back in the 70's. Being well skint and building cars from multiple donor cars we had a cheap bodge. Mainly ford 105E etc motors, when the big ends or mains started rumbleing, we would drop the sump and bearing shells and put cooking foil behind the shell and rebuild. Upped the oil pump preasure and away we would go!!! until our kid forgot to pierce the oilway holes!!  Gues the outcome? Smile

Many moons ago a not very bright friend of mine had a NSR125 and the exhaust came off following one of his many "off's".........he decided to that the best option was to cable-tie it back on.

Same friend decided to paint his brake calipers luminous yellow with heat resistant paint. He thought they looked so cool he painted the discs aswell  Wink

Back in my school days I heard of a guy who decided to add some brass stars to his petrol tank as they were the "in" thing.

Apparently he just drilled straight into the side of his tank    :eek :eek :eek

I imagine a sudden torrent of petrol must have alerted him to his error ???
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!
