Very nice  Smile

More importantly, how does she ride?
Just realised from reading the thread your suspension front & back is virtually identical to mine.

I'm quite pleased with my gold forks, but it does seem to be a love it or hate it colour scheme.  Overall i think when i paint my spare swingarm black and put that on (and respray all the faded red plastics) it'll look great! Smile .  I was worried i'd have too much red with the red hugger but i'm happy i went with red now.

Kebab, i'm very pleased with my fork setup, i need to twiddle with the R6 shock, i've not set the sag yet though so really i've just set the clickers, whacked it in and off i went.
It's better than the standard shock naturally, but it's got a little bit too much rebound i think.
Hard to tell since i've not done much suspension setup but i'll set my sag, twiddle around and hopefully learn something along the way!
Anyway basically it's the same suspension setup as yours cos i copied it from you haha Tongue.

Painting my TRX front wheel this weekend so i can get some new tyres (the pilot road 2 on the back is stuffed now), going to try pilot road 4s all round.

It's not nearly as clean as the photos make it look, but hopefully one day it will be! Smile

Golds a bit marmite, just never worked for me, maybe get someone to photoshop the swingarm gold too.

Coming along nicely. Maybe could do with a splash of gold towards the rear to balance the colour out a bit?
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

No brought a damaged repairable, never liked the look of the stock fazers fairing so was either going to sell it of find one without that fugly piece of plastic stuck on the front.

Taken mucho work and thought to make the bloody thing look good without the plastics but thats part of the fun

Of course you'd struggle to make that Honda look good coz Stevie Wonder was the chief designer  :eek

Can't argue with the CBF looks, it's not what I'd call cool or sexy and definitely not a good looking bike  :'( Does my commuting though.

Was actually referring to the screen frame on the ZX9......or have I got the wrong model in mind.

Wrong model  :lol

Fugly and a little souless or not, you can't fault Hondas build quality. Only had one, a VF500 when I passed my test, brilliant bike if a little expensive on servicing. Just never found anything else after that that caught my eye, well RC30 maybe but look at the price tag

Seem to have gone slightly off topic

Yeah gold swing arm for colour balance...... Big Grin

I think you've done some great work there well done. From the picture if I was you I'd do the side rad covers red and the swing arm and front forks black. You'd have a nice balance between red and black then which is always a great colour combo. But if you want the gold go for it

Ok, I admit i'm shit with paint but had a go at "balancing" the gold by painting the rear hangers. Think doing the rear arm would be too much. Thoughts?

It helps but now the swingarm looks out of place

Poor lad, took all that time to spray his bits gold and now were all pulling it down (sorry that was suppose to say giving constructive criticism)

Dont take any notice of us winging poms

I've got gold rim tapes, i think the gold swingarm would be too much and i couldn't justify spending more on a chain just because it was gold haha! Tongue
I painted the wheels black over the weekend (yes they are already black, but the front one is about to be a TRX wheel, and it was blue) and after the clear has set enough, perhaps later in the week we'll see how gold tapes go.
I think the balance of red is good, i have considered painting all the silver bits on radiator and end of the cam covers black but perhaps not.
Do some more paintbrushing Tongue.

Trx front wheel, standard rear, new bearings an seals, pilot road 4s (120/70, 160/60 rear) and gold rim tapes. Sprayed the wheels only a week ago but they didn't get chipped too much or anything during the fit up of the tyres so all good! Smile

A set of stainless steel disc bolts would finish them off nicely, only M8 button heads. Replaced all mine and a few other bolts for a fiver
