Bus mechanic, work shifts doing servicing, repairs and breakdowns.
Means I have access to some rather handy equipment when needed (especially when there no bosses about)

Checking the shape of car bodies against CAD models:

The best part of my day is the commute.
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

I'm a video game programmer. If you've been into gaming over the last 15+ years chances are you have played one of mine...

I'm a consultant marine engineer working in London full time in the winter, but very part time in the summer when I spend most of my time at our smallholding in the west country. I'm also a 'production assistant' to my better half who is a broadcaster (I spend many hours listening to her rehearsing her pieces to 'camera' and get paid! ).

I'm a programmer. In reality, I do web development for several travel insurance brands including all their frontend systems (what the public see's) and all the backend systems (such as reports, statistics and 3rd party integrations for comparison sites)

That's awesome and something I occasionally consider going in to... I'm somewhat an enthusiast when it comes to gaming...

Would've loved to have worked on something a bit more modern, but enjoyed my 3 years in Germany on 230 Sqn.

I work for the national blood service , supplying blood products to all hospitals In East Anglia and hospitals beyond East Anglia when required.

Are you a Blood Runner? I know some of them down here in the Hampshire area.

No I am not a blood runner , I work 24/7 shifts for the National Blood Issuing Department in Cambridge.  Still being shafted behind closed doors by this government but like many of my colleagues still dedicated to getting the blood to the patient ASAP.  Hopefully we will not ever need it but if we do we will do our upmost to get it to everyone quickly.
PS They may also have carried the blood for Zippywight's daughter :thumbup
