Fuel type & MPG
#21
I don't know if it does actually give you more in the real world but I was in the habit of using the highest octane fuel available since driving a modified turbo car (reduced chance of detonation) so I still do. My bike has never had lower than 97ron since I've owned it. In fact I actually notice a difference in how the engine behaves from one fuel to the next. If I use Shell V power the bike doesn't seem 'quite' the same. It only likes Esso 97...

Regarding MPG has anyone checked if they can tell between filling up when it's cold Vs warm

In theory you get a bit more juice when the fuel is cooler so it's better to fill up in the morning.
