Nice one Smile. I thought it would be easier to replace the stem rather than removing mine. Hope you have a great xmas Smile Cheers, Nick.

You all might be wondering why i am asking lots of questions. It's because laptop is broken, so doing everything with my phone! If i buy 2008 r1 front end and calipers can i use my fazer front wheel with different discs? What spacers would i need?

I don't think justy does the spacers anymore, maybe Luke is your man to knock a batch of spacers up.

I still need to check the spares bin in my cave, Nick, for a spacer.  Sorry, slipped my mind - as a lot of things do these days! Smile

yeah i can spin up spacers to justy's original but cant do the later version

no disc combo i know of yet works with original front wheel with 08 forks

later fz1 or o3 will work with r6 disc's but once you go radial the game changes

Found this Chinese company selling wheels, but not sure if original or cheap copies.. Also noticed that they are saying it will fit model years 2004 -2012. I thought the wheels would be different?

Chinese cheap copies on your beloved Fazer?! Are you nuts?!!!!! Maybe on a 125 that can't do more than 70mph (but even then....). No way am I ever going to stick that kind of stuff on my bike. If I can't afford decent kit, I won't do it at all. In fact, if I had unlimited funds, I'd be more likely to spend even more. (Always wondered how much difference a set of carbon or some such wheels would make, but only from a reputable manufacturer).

I couldn't tell if they were genuine ones or copies, as the ad is unclear. I would never buy copies, as the thought of the front wheel breaking up while riding doesn't bare thinking about! :eek

I got a reply from the chinese company selling the r1 front wheel. They are NOT genuine Yamaha, so won't be touching with a barge pole! Damn. That's why they were so cheap :'( Regarding yoke offset how can i find out what each model years yoke offset is? I'm trying to find out if 02-03 is same as 07-08.

I want a late r1 front end on mine. Funnily enough just as Luke has done. Smile
