Who has the oldest Gen1 1000

According to the logbook mine was first registered on 05-03-2001 and has less than 8k on the clock but I have to admit I am not the original owner but owner number two. I bought the bike ( Sidney, yes I decided he's a boy) a month ago and I am loving owning and riding a Gen 1 1000 after owning and still riding an old carb FZS 600 for 8 years. Do I win a cookie ?

I have not looked back on the posts,,but if March 2001 is the first then you win Fook all :lol .

mine's 10/3/2001.

And cleaner now than the day it left the showroom! 

Oh, and mine's a youthful April 2002 bike.  I think.

I wanted one when they first come out in 01 but they where silly money nearly 7k I seem to remember
but then they dropped them to £5995 and I bought one in may 02 (I think) which I wrote off 6 weeks later lol

1st of May 2001, so I win foc all aswell. At least I still have the fastest colour, am one of the younger members and still have ALL my good looks

Anyway mine's one of the youngest ones, it was first first registered on the 29th of February 2004, so that makes it only just over 2 1/2 years old, doesn't it?

I bought mine july 2001..import  for £5995, about 2k cheaper than official price. It had just as much power as my mates gen1, both dynode at rencullen.

don't think they came out in January 2001....so that could be a white lie if anyone reckons they had one then !....march would be around the earliest. My bike was Y112 LNN.
