LOL! Seriously though I was so focking lucky to find that key - it was under the shelving unit in the petrol station!
I'm up for this next ride - will put key on a string attached to my manpart this time.... although i do lose that on a cold day n all.
Hope you're feeling better Red...
See you on the A3...

Definitely interested in joining you guys for this, unless you're likely to leave me in the dust on your big machines. I don't really know many riders so would be good to get to know some of you.

I live in Newbury so wouldn't be too much of a trek to meet up with you, and could always peel off early when we get to around my way... ish  Smile

I'll be going - from Dartford so could pass through Eltham?
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

hi roosy.......be great to meet you in april....will be riding a short stretch of the a4 just east of reading could meet you there,we will be turning north through sonning and possibly stopping outside the "french horn hotel".......dont worry about keeping up ,yes there will be a few 1000cc bikes there but none of us has a clue how to ride them  :rollin :rollin :rollin we`re riding in a group so no racing, enjoy the day for what it is ,a spring ride out following the course of the thames....with me leading no one will be left behind  :lol

morning all..........three weeks to go,so time for an update

looks like we have three starting points now........blackheath
                                                                              ace cafe
                                                                              beconsfield services ,jct2 m40

mileage from ace cafe to dorchester on thames, which could be our mid-day lunch/tea break stop is approx 88 miles.....was thinking of heading out towards abingdon and then on to oxford so total milage for the day could be about 150 ish

possibly meeting ROOSY at sonning and STEEVE66 at wallingford both great stops/photo ops and of course chance to look at each others bikes
if anyone else would like to join us on route just let me know and i can change things to suit

clocks change at easter weekend so lighter evenings (i think) so was thinking of meeting at 9.30/10.00 ish at the ace

your thoughts please foccers  Smile

I think I may have misled someone - Wallingford is my home town in so far as I grew up there, I live near Dartford now so should be joining you wayyyy earlier. Think I'm hooking with some the team around Shooters Hill before heading to the Ace...

Well I have just plotted the route for me on the day and it will be 260 mile run out, which I will enjoy as long as the weather is not bad, it takes me through places from my younger days and so it should be enjoyable.
