ok, just checked what my fuel pump does;
at idle = 1 pulse every 5 secs (depending on how you timed it it could be considered 2 pulses in 5-6 sec duration)?
at 5K = 6 pulses (counted 3 times, counted 7 pulses twice)

not sure if that's gonna help with the comparisons you are trying to do?

good luck mate

At idle mine pumps once every 4.3 seconds taken as an average from 1 minute of counting.
If I held it at 5000rpm for one minute my next door neighbour would most probably come around and stick a kitchen knife up my arse.

I doubt my results would be affected by the fact that my downpipes are riddled with holes again (which does affect the performance of the engine but probably not the fuel filter timings) but thought I would mention it in the interests of fair science.

I'm guessing for a true experiment you would have needed the results a 5000rpm as well so I'm not sure how helpful I've been - although if you lived in London I would be more than willing to lend you my carbs for an afternoon.
#Driven by the irony that only being shackled to the road could ever I be free.#
