Took it to my local motorcycle engineer rather than do it myself. The Race Tech kit comes with a length of aluminium spacer so he cut it long and had his colleague play to part of me to get the sag where I wanted it. Had the brake lines replaced with braided as well. Picked the bike up an hour ago and it is lovely, despite the cold, wet day.
There's reduced sag as per my wishes and these springs are much firmer. The front end feels lighter and at legal-ish speeds on country roads it is lovely, even in the wet.
Race Tech website isn't fun to search around but I found the right info for fork oil height with these springs - 130mm for anyone who does the same.
Seems a bit weird spending a sixth of the bike's value on fork springs, fork oil and brake lines, but I love this bike and plan on keeping it so over my years of ownership it isn't much per year if I look at it that way.
