Hi,
I finally found the cause as a loose exhuast bracket (got worse over time). I replaced the system a while ago with a delkevic system however it seems the nuts I used to secure the bracket to the engine were not the most anti-rust they could have been and have not errored.
In the picture below its the nut at the 'top' of the picture (second on the inside furthest away). I cannot undo it however because it is no longer the shape of a hex nut, and the space is ultra tight.
I have tightened the one on the other side a little, but of course it needs to be uniform not overtightened so does move a litte still.
Is there a way to esentially cut the nut from the thread, maybe a small file or saw blade? or is best to let it rot away over winter and replace when it eventually falls apart.
The bike runs and starts fine, maybe it feels a little underpower at low speeds or not as punch but nowhere near what it was before i found it over the past week and tightened the other side.
ALL the nuts need replacing, any suggestions on what grade / type would work bet to avoid the errorsion?
