Just a comment on 3rd party versus OEM parts.
- Typically OEM is always going to better than pattern 3rd party parts.
- The primary reason you would typically choose 3rd party over OEM is availability, as in you cant find the part in your country. Eg for me some parts for my FZ1 aren’t available in the Uk or Europe so I had to source direct from Japan.
And lastly Mikuni carbs have been around for years and have come as standard on many, many, many engines... (generators, outboard, motorcycle, etc). Personally If new wasn't available I would prefer good qaulity used and only if neither were available then 3rd party.
