We have the FZS600 and FZS1000 - both with carbs and the FZ6 and FZ1/FZ1000 which are the injection models
Well it’s the „facelift“ FZS600 with carbsthe model number is rj02 (it’s the Modelnumber for that 600s from 2000- 2003) (correct me if I’m wrong)
ok - most people on here call it the foxeye
the early model with the square lights is the boxeye
That’s really nice to know! I like Foxeye!

At the beginning of July this year, I bought myself a Yamaha Fazer RJ02 with 31,000 km on the clock. On the very first day after registering it, the engine blew. Cylinder 2 gave up.
So, I was faced with the choice: either sell it or rebuild it. In the end, together with a friend, I rebuilt the bike, replaced the engine, and changed various wear parts.
During this time, I also realized how difficult it can be to find tips and tricks, since the bike is already over 20 years old. That’s why I’m here — to exchange information and hopefully both get and give help.
What was the cause of the failure? In is rare for these engines to go at that low numer of Kms. Many have had well over (my own included) have gone over the 160000 km mark without issues
