I refilled the oil and coolant today. It's bit fiddly trying to do it without removing the fairing, but thankfully I had an off-cut of hose that I could use and planned to fire it up and balance the throttle bodies.
So (with fingers crossed) I switched on, pressed the starter and...
.... bzzt...
... the sound of a battery without enough power to get it to turn over
I had left the battery on the Optimate so it should have been OK, but I'm thinking it may have dropped a cell (it was a few years old)
Unfortunately by this time, it was hot and humid in my shed and I just couldn't be bothered to take the battery out to try it with the Drop Tester.
If it is duff, I do have a spare, but that's for another day...
