R6 rear shock on the FZS600

Have only converted one 2017 onwards shock for a Foccer and he was very happy with it.  Hope that spring rate works well for you!

Thanks not had chance to fit it yet got all the bits Faulkner spring for my fat ass weight and top hat bushes for the top mount.
Shock looks a very nice piece of kit and too good for the old fazer should make big difference.

Just finishing doing my sons SV650 front end have fitted linear springs and YSS PD valve (emulators) not tried it as still painting the lowers, but if this works as expected will do the same to fazer.

Ah yes, cartridge emulators for the damper rod forks.

Quite a few others fitted them as I had a cheap group buy from the US.  From memory, worked really well with early VFR800 springs.  Seemingly lost in the annals of time, but perhaps you can revive interest 

Yes sadly prices have risen sharply since that posy but the YSS emulators are reasonable price if you shop about and for the SV at least seem to fit perfectly and definitely seem much stiffer when checking by hand at least I went for 2.5 turns and SKF 15w fork oil will be try and see and tweak approach. I followed the advice enlarged the holes in the damper rods and drilled 2 extra as there is more room on the SV than the fazer, welded up the rebound hole. Was pretty easy some have used JB weld or similar with good effect if you do not  have a welder, drilling the holes enlarging easy enough can be done with a hand drill, new holes easier on a drill press but can be done. The fork seal were in good nick on the sv and less than year old so did not change them, this makes the process very quick and easy but if you can do fork seals where you have to drop out the oil and spring and damper rod its the same process apart from the mods to damper rod. Only bit you will need to alter if you change spring or add emulator is the spacer i had to reduce this to get the correct preload  on the spring on fazer it will depend on the spring length. I just used 32mm wast pipe dead easy to cut the SV has a washer on top of the spring and prelaod adjuster is a big washer to spreads load nicely.
Pretty quick and easy process can be done in half day or longer if painting the fork lowers.
The huge amount of kit for the SV is helpful as the linear springs for the curvy SV seem to be perfect for the fazer
