Nice one i just bought the cheap coin type gap tool cheap as chips and checked with my calipers its accurate!
As mentioned it makes total sense to check the gaps when the plugs are new, but saying that I can't recall ever needing to adjust the gaps before, they've always been pretty spot on for me.
