Forget it I wasn't trying to criticise - I was just chatting. Also forget "chicken strips" its a bad term and normal riding on normal roads will mean that you dont use all the tile also depending on the bike and tire size and also tire make due to its profile there will always be a bit left on the edge.
I once was at a bike meet and one chap I was talking to had tires that were fully worn at the edge even with bobbles, I commented how he looks like he has been having fun and it turns out he gets his tires from a mate who has used them on the track
