Checking front sprocket nut details.

From the tech bulletin for the 1999~2005 YZF-R6 and 2004~2005 FZ6
Drive Sprocket Retaining Nut and Lock Washer Replacement

Apply Loctite® 620 to the threads and install the
new lock washer and retaining nut from the Drive
Sprocket Kit. Tighten the drive sprocket retaining
nut to 90Nm (9.0m-kg, 65 ft-lb).

I cant find the specific bulletin amongst our old downloads for the FZS600 though

The old smaller nut was 70nm and the new wider nut was 90nm but the general consensus on here was to go inbetween at 80nm

Also it looks to me like someone has fitted a normal non bend over tab washer which is thicker than the tab washer and so the old 9mm nut is now almost at the end of the threaded shaft.
Looking at the state of the nut you may be better off investing in a 6 sided socket for better grip when you come to take it off.

I think JT after market sprockets market it as a quiet sprocket and the hard rubber black bit is supposed to dampen down the sound. I did not bother with the extra expense when I changed mine. Jury's out weather it makes a difference.
