I think you are referring to the FZ6, the FZS600 lights are different with a H7 bulb(I think) on the left and a H4 bulb on the right.
The left dim is always on when you switch on the lights.
The problem is the the dim filament of the H4 is left unused and unwired.
There were two modification one correct with a bit involved in doing it and the second quick and easy, but most definitely not recommended.
With the correct modification the left dims and H4 Dim filament would come on when the lights were switched on.
Now when switched to the headlight the dim filiaent of the H4 would go off and the headlight filament would come on.
Unfortunately it has been so long ago since I did the modification I can only vagely remember what I did.
Maybe some one on here can remember or has it done and can help, in the meanwhile I will look through my computer and documents to see if I have a copy of it
