Buy a petcock service kit, drop old one from tank, pull it completely apart & give it a good old soak in some brake cleaner, mine had a fair bit of crud in it, gauze filter is fragile so handle it with care, it just pulls out of tap assembly.
Make sure u use new fibre washers on the 2 M6 mounting bolts or it'll piss gas everywhere.
Tap needs to be left in "ON" position before dropping tank down, chuck a gallon in & check for leaks before filling it.
Good time to replace inline filter near pump, OEM or Yambits, don't fit a cheapo filter, it'll let you down?
Watch out for overflow & breather pipes dropping down thru frame, can be a mare to get back up to tank, pipes take a mad route down between swingarm & back of motor?
