The above is very likely.  Simple test, but you need to start the bike, jump start it from another battery, once running check the voltage across the battery at 6500 it should be reading 14v.  Even at idle it should read around 12.8 - 13v, if it isn't there's a changing issue, possibly the magneto or the rectifier.

Is there an alarm fitted, heated grips, or any other extras?  These can fail and drain the battery in hours!
