Just had a new rear tyre fitted today. Changed it a little early at 5539 miles, as have a trip to France in a few weeks, and didn’t want to push my luck puncture wise in wringing the last 700ish miles out of it. The old tyre was fitted last May and I took the bike off the road for winter in late October. Last years bike season on the Fazer averaged 1100 miles a month. About to do a 2nd valve clearance check this weekend at 51k, so 43k miles have rolled under her wheels in the last 7 years of my ownership. The advantage of retirement, is time on your hands, the disadvantage being lack of money in your pocket :lol .
